Warringah Life Member

Congratulations and Happy Birthday Coral!  70 years young and 50 years playing hockey!  Coral can be seen every Saturday down at the grass playing goalie for the Avalon Teams.  She has also played for Warringah over the years at State Championships and in Turf competitions.  She has many stories to tell of when she first put on cricket pads to play goalie.

Recently Anne & Cathy from Warringah hockey congratulated Coral and welcomed her as a life member of Warringah Hockey Association.

Umpires Report

Congratulations to Zac Phillips, our first umpire of the week award recipient. Zac is a keen Terrey Hills player and a new umpire trainee with WHA this year.  Zac did a fantastic job last Saturday helping to identify and mitigate common safety risks down at the WHA hockey fields! Most importantly he pointed out one of the most common hazards down at the WHA fields - kids swinging on the hockey goals. The goals might look perfect for playing on, but they could fall at any time seriously injuring kids swinging on them. Zac and the other officials at WHA would like to remind parents that hockey goals are not play equipment, please don't let you kids swing on them!
